In the Bulb region, bulbs are grown on excavated sand behind the dunes: “The Geestgronden”. The Bulb fields with their straight canals and high dune roads, are interspersed with green lanes and old estates. During spring period, the fields form a beautiful landscape that is annually visited by more than a million visitors. It is the most photographed landscape of the Netherlands!

The “Dutch Flowerroute” is a 32 kilometers cycling route that shows you the beautiful colours of the region. The route is not only an experience for your eyes, but as well for your nose! The flowerfields, different landscapes, canals and ditches, monuments and the villages make this cycling route an experience. Not only in the spring, but in summer and autumn as well, because then other
types of flowers show themselves. Even in the winter, some bulb growing companies have blooming flowers.

Come and Experience and enjoy spring in Lisse!
